For music fans in London, there are literally thousands of bars and clubs all across the city. Major concentration is around the West End and Soho, also a new home to a booming gay scene. Usually tourists get around the brightness of Leicester Square, but there are equally good, if not better bars outside the centre, around suburbs such as Shoreditch in the East, Islington in the North, Notting Hill in the West or Clapham in the South.
